Romans twelve, six

In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.

It’s really an expansion of yesterday.

But, try this out… find out what you’re good at. Find out from your own interests, abilities, and passions… and from what those around you tell you. Don’t lose that second part. Too many people try to do something they’re not good at. It eventually leads to pain and uncertainty, in my experience, both for us and for those around us.

But if you have a gift, and you know it, and you have been given faith from God, use it. In this case, we’re talking about prophecy (we’ll get to a few others in the next few days). If god is telling you something others should know… don’t keep quiet. Think about it a while, and when you really feel confident, speak up! (Yes, you should test this kind of thing with God’s Word and the input of those around you, especially leaders, but then… speak up!)

God, give us an outpouring of faith. Help us to see what it is you want to say to all of us, help us to know how to discern and be sure of it, and help us to speak it!
