Everything is Connected

Well, if the trees never have leaves, they’ll die…

and then we’ll die…

and all the animals will die…

and then there won’t be anything alive…

so it’s a good thing trees have leaves.

–thoughts from my son Charles on the interconnectedness of all of creation

I think leaf theory actually… It all comes from our explanation that the trees make oxygen from CO2, so our breath helps them, and their “breath” helps us…

…Charles just took it to the logical conclusion…

When he is a little older, you can explain how the head bone is connected to the neck bone, etc. – then when he is older – how the drinkin’ bone is connected to the party bone, the party bone is connected to the stayin’ out all night bone, she won’t think it’s funny and he’ll wind up all alone. Therefore the lonely bone is connected to the drinkin’ bone. Anyway, that ‘s what Tracy Byrd says.
